Use Split view for two equal panels or Swipe view for a full-screen comparison. Requires iOS 18.2 or later; image generation needs Apple Intelligence.

Private by design
Shifteno has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. Your photos never reach us.
- Photos stay on your iPhone. They live in the app's memory while you use it and are gone when you close it.
- You decide what's saved. Results reach Photos or other apps only when you tap Save or Share.
- No tracking. No ads, no analytics, no third-party SDKs.
- Generation is handled by Apple. Image Playground may process requests on the device or with Apple Private Cloud Compute.
What you need
The app opens on any recent iPhone. Creating new images needs Apple Intelligence.
- iPhone with iOS 18.2 or later to install Shifteno, take or choose photos and compare them.
- iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or iPhone 16 or newer (including iPhone Air) to create images.
- Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings › Apple Intelligence & Siri.
- The same supported language on your iPhone and Siri: English, Chinese (Simplified or Traditional), Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish or Vietnamese. Romanian is not supported yet.
- A supported country or region. Apple Intelligence is not available everywhere.
On other iPhones Shifteno still opens and compares photos, but it cannot create new images and tells you so. Please check these points before joining the beta.
Join the beta
Shifteno is being tested through Apple TestFlight before its App Store release. Open the invitation on your iPhone to install the beta.
Join on TestFlight
Open the link on your iPhone, then accept and install in the TestFlight app. To create images you need an Apple Intelligence iPhone and a supported language.
